This is a blog that attempts to deliver positivity through (hopefully humorous) illustrated tips, stories and cakes. Mostly I am writing advice to myself because I'm really good at being not positive. Hopefully this will inspire me to choose to have more good days than crappy ones. Perhaps it will help you too.

Also, there are no goldfish in this blog.

Mental Vacation: Before the Rain

Right after I filmed my Reassuring Rocks video, my camera tipped over and bounced a few horrifying times on my driveway. Luckily, the lens wasn't broken, but it made a lot of weird noises and was dysfunctional enough to warrant having it fixed. I can't help but think that Canon trains blindfolded babies to reconstruct all the broken lenses that are sent to them. It's not that it was fixed poorly - it came back to me in perfect shape. It just took as long as you'd think it would take blindfolded babies to perfectly reconstruct a busted lens.

So now that I have a fully functioning camera lens, I can wander around and make my little videos again! Here's some stuff I shot while going on a walk with my wonderful friend Claudia. As the title suggests, it was right before a small rainstorm rolled in, so it was a bit cloudy and dewy out.

Claudia suggested we go to this mesa because she had witnessed a massive crossing of snails there earlier. Granted, I only filmed a single snail, but I swear there were tons more. TONS! Where were they going? Why were they mainly in the middle of the trail? Do they know that they're kind of gross and terrifying?

The song is Nightlight by Last Days.

Email subscribers, you'll have to go to the main site to view the video. :)

Permission to Feel Shitty

Permission to Feel Shitty thumbnail

Resisting your negative emotions allows them to build and grow worse. By giving yourself permission to feel shitty, you'll be letting go of that resistance and be more capable of doing what it takes to make yourself feel better. True story!
