This is a blog that attempts to deliver positivity through (hopefully humorous) illustrated tips, stories and cakes. Mostly I am writing advice to myself because I'm really good at being not positive. Hopefully this will inspire me to choose to have more good days than crappy ones. Perhaps it will help you too.

Also, there are no goldfish in this blog.

I'm Thankful For: My Parents

I'm probably embarrassing my mom and dad by posting this picture of them, but I couldn't help myself. Don't they look impressively badass?

I am incredibly lucky to have the parents that I have. My parents narrated bedtime stories with silly voices, taught me about the constellations,  bandaged my scraped knees and swung me up in the air when we all joined hands. They taught me to do the best that I can and gently encourage me to slow down when I try to do more than that. They love the outdoors and are surprisingly willing to watch Adventure Time. They are the most open-minded, loving, and supportive people I know, and I can't ask for much more than that.

In honor of Father's Day, I'm throwing out a little extra love to my dad: the man who cooks wonderful dinners, stares in awe at the clouds, and will tearfully whisper "good for you," whenever the protagonist on a television show overcomes an obstacle (this includes old dogs climbing up the stairs in pet food commercials). That's right hipsters, my dad is the original beardy, sensitive artist type, and you will never match him in his greatness.

Today I'm thankful for: my parents.

Having never met your parents, I enjoyed the photos and your appreciation of the people who are responsible for bringing you into the world where we can enjoy you.
I hope you and your family have a happy Father's Day.

Hey! Why didn't my post show up?? :( Maybe it wasn't worthy enough because all I said was... 'I love this post :)'. But I'll say it again, gosh darn it.

I LOVE THIS POST!!!! :)

OH MY GOODNESS
I can't get over the first photo.
It seriously looks like something out of a 60s photo shoot or movie.
Wow
Just wow
Sachi, your mom especially looks badass.
And my mom agrees (of course I made her look at this).
Quote: "She looks like a school rebel!"
We are all very, very impressed.
I hope you have a great weekend Sachi!

Aaaah that first photo is so badass! Have to agree with Yu Rhee that it looks like a 60s photoshoot. Love it.

@ Elizabeth - We had carnitas for dinner. It was a happy Father's Day indeed.

@ JaaayG - You are not the first person this has happened to, myself included! I just talked to tech support, and hopefully it will be better now. Secondly, I'M GLAD YOU LOVE THIS POST!!!

@Yu Rhee - Your mom's response is great. That's how I feel. Pretty sure that if I traveled back in time, I'd be too square to hang out with them.

@GrandpaT - Thanks gramps! I know, if I just photoshopped some product into their hands and then added text that said, "Buy it," I'd buy it.

First of all: I love your blog. Second: Your parents set an amazing example of what good parents are. I hope I can be like them someday.
